Privacy policy
Last updated 3 October 2026 · Version 1.3
This policy explains what information Shiftr collects through this website, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Shiftr is not yet operating a staffing service: the website is for registering early-access interest only.
Who we are
This website is operated by Shiftr. Contact us about privacy at hello@bookshiftr.com.
What we collect
If you register as a venue: venue name, your name, work email, city or suburb, country (United States, Australia or Other), and your consent. If you choose to answer the optional questions: your role, venue type, the roles you need, how many shifts need cover each week, how you currently find cover, a typical hourly rate band, when you might need cover, and a phone number.
If you register as a worker: your name, email, city or suburb, country (United States, Australia or Other), the roles you can work, an optional mobile number, and your consent.
Recorded with your registration: the page you submitted from, the industry page you came from (if any), the referring page, campaign tags in the link you followed (such as utm_source), the time, and a one-way hashed form of your IP address used only to limit abuse. We do not store your IP address itself.
How we use it
- To contact you about Shiftr early access.
- To understand which roles, locations and staffing needs to prioritise as we build Shiftr.
- To protect the registration forms from spam and abuse.
We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or make automated decisions about you. We do not share venue details with workers or worker details with venues.
Your consent
We only store a registration when you tick the consent box. With it we record the exact consent wording you agreed to, the time, and the version of this policy that applied. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing hello@bookshiftr.com.
Where it is processed and stored
The country you choose on the form decides where your registration is stored:
- Australia — stored by Supabase in its Sydney, Australia region (ap-southeast-2).
- United States and all other countries — stored by Supabase in its US East (N. Virginia) region (us-east-1).
This website is hosted by Vercel. Registration forms are processed by our server in Washington, D.C., United States — including Australian registrations, which pass through it before being stored in Sydney. Vercel also processes technical request data, such as IP addresses, in its logs.
Our own server logs record only the type of a failed registration, which database it was for, and an error code — not your details. If we add another provider that receives your details (for example a CRM or email service), we will update this policy first.
Cookies and analytics
We set one cookie, region, to remember whether you are using the US or Australian version of the site. It lasts one year and contains only that choice.
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and your browser does not load content from third parties: fonts and images are served from our own domain. If that changes, we will update this page and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We delete a registration once it has been inactive for 24 months — that is, 24 months after you registered, or after we last contacted you if that is later.
If you ask us to delete your details or stop contacting you, we delete your registration and keep only a minimal suppression record: a one-way hash of your email address (not the address itself) and the date of your request, so that we do not contact you again. If a new registration is later submitted with that address, we won’t accept it online; email us from that address and we’ll register you again.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing hello@bookshiftr.com. We will act on deletion requests within 30 days.
If you are in Australia and are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local privacy law.
Children
Early access is intended for businesses and for people of working age. It is not directed at children.
Changes
When this policy changes we update the date and version at the top. Registrations record the version that applied when they were made.
